Findings:
  • Students of all races/ethnicities have similar attitudes and views, indicating consistently high degree of comfort living and working with students from other groups.
  • Students feel prepared for jobs working with diverse people. School experience helped students to better understand other groups.
  • Black, Latino, and Other students report less encouragement from counselors to take honors or AP classes than do White and Asian students.
  • Overall, students perceive positive support from teachers generally and with respect to their higher education aspirations.
